Occupational Therapy

Regency Home Health Care's occupational therapy program has one goal in mind: To give people the skills they need to achieve a healthy and balanced life.

For example, if you or a loved one is recovering from a stroke, you may need to relearn home management skills such as making the bed, grocery shopping or meal preparation. If you are recuperating from back surgery, you may need to regain your joint mobility or adapt to bathing and showering on your own.

Our occupational therapy program teaches you how to safely use appropriate techniques and adaptive equipment to perform any number of activities, including the following:

  • Grooming, hygiene, dressing
  • Meal preparation, feeding, clean up
  • Mobility
  • Home management
  • Shopping
  • Emergency response/safety procedures
  • Functional communication, phone use
  • Medication management
